Dear Claudio and Jay,

We need to think of a test of accuracy relevant to
function of the channel,  

The obvious choices are

a) estimates of reversal potential
b) estimate of slope conductance at small potentials
c) estimate of current at zero potential ('reversal current')
d) some estimate (what??) of selectivity
e) some estimate of rectification (ratio of slopes of IV at +\infinity vs. -\infinity)
f) ??
