1) Use Periodic boundary conditions ONLY for LJ components, i.e.,
short range, non Coulomb components of forces between atoms

2) Solve Poisson someway or the other withOUT the periodic boundary 
conditions because I suspect (see Wikipedia article on thermodynamic
limit) that PBC can never satisfay Gauss' law,
